Novocastrian Philosophers’ Club, 2006

A love story between a librarian and an explorer – based on Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad. Produced by Cinzia Hardy in association with the Literary and Philosophical Society of Newcastle upon Tyne and Northern Stage.

The library was the setting for a love story between an explorer and a librarian. The audience were the Club Committee members, who journeyed through the library with the explorer. This promenade piece was produced by Cinzia Hardy.

We worked with a wide range of non-professional performers who devised the piece with us. The busts in the library had their own role in the piece.
