We Got Mittens Too, 2008

A Newcastle story from the time before and around 1918. Created from a text by Kay Easson in association with the Literary and Philosophical Society of Newcastle. Our research took us to Ypres and our piece was created in memory of those who never came back.

The piece told stories about people who worked in the library before the first World War, who went to fight and didn’t return. Research for the piece took place in Ypres. We worked with a wide range of people from Newcastle, including Territorial Army Cadets.

Produced by Cinzia Hardy.
